Russell Joe graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1995 and
became a member of the Washington State Bar the same year. He has a general
civil practice, with areas including adoptions, family law, civil collections and
contract disputes. He also focuses on criminal misdemeanor defense and is a deputy
prosecutor for the cities of Medina , Hunts Point, and Duvall. He is a member of the
Asian Bar Association of Washington and the Washington State Association of Municipal
Attorneys.
Russell is currently serving his second term as an Issaquah City Council member,
where he serves as the chair of the Major Development and Regional Affairs Committee.
He is also a member of the Council Services and Operation Committees. In 2004, he
was elected to serve as the Chairman for the Regional Law Safety and Justice Committee.
Russell is a member of the Eastside Human Services Forum and the United Way East
Council. In his free time, Russell likes to hike, watch the Mariners, run,
and white water raft.
